MAHA SHIVARATHRI 2023

Shivaratri is a Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the principal deities of Hinduism. The word "Shivaratri" literally means "the Night of Shiva" and is observed on the 14th night of the dark fortnight in the Hindu month of Phalguna or Maagha (usually in February or March).
During Shivaratri, Hindus usually observe a day-long fast and offer special prayers and offerings to Lord Shiva. Devotees also visit Shiva temples and perform rituals such as pouring milk and honey over Shiva lingam, a symbol of Lord Shiva. It is believed that observing Shivaratri with sincerity and devotion helps to receive blessings from Lord Shiva, who is regarded as the destroyer of evil and the giver of boons.
Shivaratri is celebrated across India and in other countries with significant Hindu populations. It is an important festival in Hinduism and is observed with great enthusiasm and devotion by millions of people around the world.
